Log project correspondence

Log emails, calls, letters and meetings on the project so everyone can see what was said. Logging keeps a record only. It doesn’t send anything.

Who can do this: Admin, Manager

  1. Open the project and select the Correspondence tab.

  2. Select Log correspondence. To link the entry to a specific SOW, bid, proposal or NTP, select Log email on that record instead.

  3. Set the Direction to Received or Sent, then choose who it was From or To.

  4. Enter the Name and Email. For Government (GSA/VA), you can pick a lease contact from the list.

  5. Check the Date & time.

  6. Under Related to, link it to a SOW, bid, proposal or NTP, or leave it as General project correspondence.

  7. Enter a Subject and Summary. You can paste the email body into Summary.

  8. Under Email & attachments, select Add files to attach the saved email (.eml or .msg) or a PDF of it.

  9. Select Log correspondence.

A new entry needs at least a subject, a summary or an attachment. Records with linked correspondence show how many related emails they have. Select that link to jump to this tab.

Use the pencil button to edit an entry and the trash button to delete it. New entries don’t notify anyone.
