Void or delete an invoice
Void an invoice when it shouldn’t count but you want to keep the record, such as a bill the vendor withdrew. Delete it only when it was entered by mistake.
Who can do this: Admin
Void an invoice
Section titled “Void an invoice”An invoice with payments can’t be voided. Delete the payments first.
-
Open the invoice and scroll to Invoice details.
-
Change the Status to Void.
-
Select Save changes.
A void invoice moves to the Void tab and stops counting in every total. It also stops counting against its purchase order, and its service agreement billing period opens up for a new invoice.
To undo a void, change the Status back and save. If that billing period has since been given another invoice, you’ll see an error instead.
Managers can’t choose Void and can’t undo one. If a bill shouldn’t be paid while you sort it out, a Manager can set it to Disputed.
Delete an invoice
Section titled “Delete an invoice”-
